If a person visits your website and leaves, chances are that he or she will not come back, especially if there are no compelling reasons to do so. After all, we all behave rather impulsively on the Internet, so much so that we can easily forget where we were 10 web pages ago.
But the bottom line is that your visitor may not come back to your website again. If 1,000 visitors visit your website, leave and never come back again, you can imagine the amount of potential revenue lost, simply because they do not come back. You could have converted a fraction of the visitors into your customers. How to make the most about that fraction of converted visitors into our customers so that we can maximize our profits? Here are few things that you could do after you have finally converted your visitors into your customer:
1 After your product is successfully sold, follow-up your customer(s) . Follow-up with a “thank you” e-mail and include an advertisement of other products that you sell. For example, you can attach or link to an e-book catalog on all the product you sell or resell.
2 When a potential customers is at your order page, you can upsell to your customers by telling them about a few extra related products you have for sale. By doing so, they can just add it to their original order. For example, you could say, “Our new best selling e-book would make a nice edition to the report. Just click here to add it to your order. It’s only $11 more.”
3 Increase your sale by having ‘customer gets customers program. Tell your customers if they refer four customers to your web site, they will receive a full rebate of their purchase price. This will turn one sale into three sales. Or you can also offer them other perks in return for their referrals like free e-books, free software, coupons, discounts, etc.
4 You can include an ad to sell the reprint/reproduction rights to your products or with the other products that you sell. For example, if you sell the reprint rights to your e-book it would spread because others would buy it and see your ad.
5 When you sell a product, give your customers the option of joining an affiliate program so they can make commissions by selling your product. This could multiply the sale you just made. Just imagine how many sales you could have with 100 affiliates selling for you. It could help you to eliminate having to buy any paid advertising again!
